Diesel Engines - Mode Of Operation Of Diesel Engines


In Diesel Engines (2- stroke or 4-stroke), combustion takes place in a combustion chamber or a cylinder like other reciprocating engines. It, like spark internal combustion engine, also takes five events processes to operate. However, It employs what is called direct injection methods thus making it different. Types Of Fuel Intakes System And Their Mode Of Operation

Most vehicles of today works on Internal Combustion (I.C) engines. In a basic term, for an engine to work there must intake of fuel into its engines cylinder along with air. The main function of the intake system on a gasoline engine is the delivery of the required amount of the mixture of air and fuel.
